My aggressive journey to say a few words. (AKA) I'll be saying stuff that won't matter to many of you but it'll ALL mean something to me.

Alright so I'm ranked like 110th what does that mean exactly? I mean everytime I post on my page or someone replies to one of my posts I get points but what's the point in them? Is it to get people to post more and communicate or what? I'm just kinda confused. Whoever knows please help me out some here.

hehe actually, I dont know if it's implemented yet but there was talk about making higher ranked users give more points when they vote.

So if you vote an article as interesting at 110 rank it gives one point, but if you vote an article interesting and you have a rank of 10 , it might be worth 3 points. Though I dont know specifics or if they decided to go that route.

The theory i guess is to give more pull to those who read and comment often and prevent artificial vote flooding.

I'll do an article on it one of these days but basically the point system is to allow articles to get attention based on some sort of merit and not the whims of some admin.

When I started the site, I was frustrated at the seemingly arbitrary way that the "big" blog sites would link to other articles.  I'm a believer in democracy and so if enough people say "This article is interesting", respond to them, etc. it will get more points which will help it float to the top in the various JoeUser lists.
