My aggressive journey to say a few words. (AKA) I'll be saying stuff that won't matter to many of you but it'll ALL mean something to me.

Am I the only person who has come to realize that Christian rock is about to take over rock? I mean, there are tons of people at my school who listen to bands like Switchfoot and Pillar. Actually I know somebody who listens to almost all of the christian artists that I listen to and he didn't even know it was christian. There's groups like Thousand Foot Crutch and Skillet, who are on many of the big rock 'n' roll stations out here and almost nobody knows that when they request this awesome music that they just requested a big name Christian rock group. All that I listen to is rock in my car because I need something to wake me up at 6:30 in the morning. One of my favorite radio stations is Radio U. I doubt that any of you know about it but it's a great Christian rock station that has no comercials and is so funny to listen to.
Some of my favorite songs are The Beautiful Letdown, Rock Fist, and I'm Lion-O. That's only a small portion of the songs that I like but I'm sure if you listen to them you'll understand why they came to mind first.
If anyone else listens to my kind of music I'd really like to hear from you...

()<---Captain, that's a hug for like "Beautiful Letdown"....wonderful song, as are all the bands you mentioned.

()<---Muggaz, that's a hug for liking MxPx, I just saw them in concert. Try and download their only ballad, it's new. "Quit Your Life" You'll love it....it's sound very "muggazish"...

I'm going to see Switchfoot in concert next month. *excitement*

Switchfood and RelientK... man...

I don't think it'll take over the arena, but I think it's admirably holding a steady place.

I'm all about some "Mercy Me"... does that count? or is that too mainstream for ya?

I thought all rock was basically christian in nature. No ?
on Mar 10, 2004
Mercy Me is not rock, Michael.

How about East West? Anyone here a fan of theirs? And I think rock for the most part is "good" in nature, but christian? I don't know about that one.

P.O.D - remember when Youth of a Nation & Alive was released secularly a few years ago?

I Love Christian Rock and Pop and Worship - It's so peaceful - even the angry stuff

Templegate and old school Skillet and 7even could all be compared to um early Pearl Jam, Faith no more even metallica

Audio Adrenaline have a similar style to oh it's gone - band had 2 songs F...- Fastball (I knew it'd come) - the houseplant song is my favourite

DC Talk is really good - they changed their style as they got older but it all rocks from Free at Last to Supernatural and beyond

Third Day (how can you NOT LOVE this band) and Sonicflood are just two amazing bands you can just chill out too

Newsboys (they don't serve Breakfast in Hell) could almost be compared to a boyband - same with Big tent revival

Michelle Tumes is AWESOME she's comparable to Enya and Charlotte Church - when I was pregnant I played her CD listen ALOT

Other great Christian bands are
Raze
Tonjip (beautiful is my favourite)
Soulframe (walk away)
The LADs (my forever smoochy girl,*trina breaks into song* " your love your love is like a beeroot stain it never ever goes away from me" lost@sea and my best friend's the creator of the universe
JC Culture
Thought Bubble
Elementary Penguin
Parachute Band
Rhubarb
Compliments of Gus
arh mental blank - techno-ey band oh - Earthsuit
(i've seen the above in concert be it Sonfest or AGMF and none of them are a let down + beanbag, dumpster, newsboys, phil joel, audio adrenaline and third day Paul colman trio)
Reliant K (hello mcfly)
Jars of Clay
ALL STAR UNITED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
pax217
the elms
FIF (Five iron frenzy - solidarity and oh these mental blanks are dodgy it's the song about the UGLY DAY - ugly day sun is shining every cloud's got a silver lining")

I particularly like it when I watch secular movies - like drive me crazy (Jars of clay) and model behaviour (Justin Timberlake was in it) (all star united) and something recently had Kendall Payne's Closer to myself

That's all I can think of for now Thanks capt for letting me reminisce and Happy Birthday for yesterday
