My aggressive journey to say a few words. (AKA) I'll be saying stuff that won't matter to many of you but it'll ALL mean something to me.

When you used to think about what you wanted to be when you grew you did you say that you wanted to be a chemist who just does his job because he's getting paid well enough to stand it, or did you say you wanted to be a Major League Baseball player who just does his job because it's fun? I'm sure there are reasons behind every choice, no matter how bad a choice you make. I just want to know WHY you wanted the job you have or wish you had.

I want to be a music teacher because I love music and I like teaching others. My mom is a web delevoper because she enjoys being on the computer, it's easy to do at home, and she gets paid right for it. All I'm looking for is the why. I don't care what.

You want to be a fireman? I don't care, I just want to know why, because I'd like to know what feeds most of our desires... Is it the money, fame, satisfaction, fun, diversity, etc.?

So, how about it? Could I get a few couple to tell me WHY they want to be what they are/want to be? I'd really appreciate it.

I want to be....a zoologist. Why you ask?....Fun, mainly....I like animals and there's the opportunity to travel. I want to see things no one else has ever seen, maybe even become famous......I don't like to work with people and depend on others if it's important....don't get me wrong, I like friends....but I can do without a lot of coworkers.....

When I was a small child I wanted to be a Mom and to this day it continues to be a goal. Until I am in a secure place in life to enable this to occur ,I chose to work with people. I enjoy assisting others in empowerment most of my experience has been in working within the MH/MR community. Being an advocate in general is such a profound enriching experience I wouldn't trade for all the money in the world.

Great article topic

Have a good evening~!~

Well, good luck at achieving your goal. I think it would be safe to say, rewarding benefits is your "why". Thanks for the reply.

Peace, love, health, and happiness to you too.

I'm a molecular biologist. Always wanted a job doing science because I like to find out about things, and I also like to solve problems and make things work. It is interesting, sometimes amazing, sometimes frustrating but satisfying when we (since I work in a team) can get things to work and then come up with something others can use for diagnostics or prevention of disease. There's a variety of things we can go into and there's always new techniques to learn and apply, and new equipment to play with. And it's always exciting when we discover something new and share them with other people. This is where I wanted to be when I was a kid.

My other ambition is to become a writer -- because I enjoy writing stories and I feel happy when people enjoy and are amused by what I write.

When I was young, I wanted to be a librarian because I love books, and I suppose I wanted to be around them every day! These days, I would love to be a writer, as it is so creative, but I don't have the patience for it! Money is always a big issue for me when looking at jobs, but if it weren't, I would say that enjoyment and independence would be the main factors in what I do.

When I graduate highschool I plan on going to college and studying in animal sciences to become a veterinarian. I guess the main reason is because I like being around animals. Mainly the farm type animals. You know, your goats, horses, cows, pigs, chickens, dogs, cats, etc. Just things like that. I guess it's because I've lived on a farm my whole life and I'm always around animals and I love them to death. I would do almost anything to save an animal's life. My mom always tells me that I have this "thing", or "connection" with animals. They just seems to like me a lot when I'm around them. Our horse acts up sometimes when my mom is riding her, but when I'm riding her she's calm and doesn't act up. (and when I say riding, for all you perverts such as shuan.. you know what i mean, its nothing perverted)

Now of course I didn't always want to be a vet. It just kind of seemed like a main interest around the time of 7th grade and it's what i've wanted to be up to now. I used to want to become the first female to play in professional baseball with the guys. Yeah, that's freaky now that I think about it. lol. I also at one point wanted to be an athletic trainer. I guess those both come out of me being athletic and my like of playing sports. And the fact that I'm really really good at softball.

So I guess those are my reasons why. Hope they satified you! Have a nice day!

for all you perverts such as shuan

First of all....don't let your right hand get ahead of your left.....and quit automatically assuming that I'm going to think that you mean some weird sexual innuendo everytime your write something....I am mature you know...I just lighten the mood sometimes....so, chill.....

Anyway, good luck with your career.....I would have tried the vet thing, but I don't like neutering and I don't want all that pressure for the lives of pets.....so, that was out for me, but I could see you being a vet....I suppose.....

This just might work... Shaun could study the animals, Ashley could take care of them, I could try using music to stimulate them, calzanti could write books about them, black could do tests on them, Stacy could try out hairstyles, and meg could take her children to the zoo to see the animals...

I have always wanted to be...impactful. I don't really care what I do career-wise, as in a year I will be getting married, and then not working. I simply want to have an impact on the world, I don't want to be one of the masses that is forgotten, that disappears, and fades in the memories of those after me. I want to be remembered for something, I want to create a (good) impact on people's lives...

That's my goal. Kind of abstract, and not exactly what you were thinking I know...

When I was little, I wanted to be.... a tree. To me, a tree was beautiful and immovable, power and silence, all at once. That, and they were fun to climb.

My current goal is to become a doctor of pharmacy and work in the research fields. I want to develop medications that will cure diseases we can not touch at this point medically.

Peace,

I'm a trucker and enjoy being a trucker (most days). I like the freedom and the ability to see new sites every day. I couldn't stand to be couped up in the same place day in and day out. I don't have boss standing over my shoulder, I am given a load and am trusted to do what I have to do to get it delivered on time.

I am a pretty independent person and this is exactly the sort of thing that fit's my personality. No boring regular schedule, I pretty much do what I want, when I want and where I want.

And the money isn't too bad either.
