My aggressive journey to say a few words. (AKA) I'll be saying stuff that won't matter to many of you but it'll ALL mean something to me.

What is wrong with this world? Am I just stupid or was the U.S. Constituition written while under the influence of a God fearing belief?

If the constition was written under those principles than why do the people who are also God fearing, have to refrain from using his holy name in public? People honestly wanted to change our 200+ year old pledge just because it includes the word God. And what's even worse is that I have to sit back and listen to people curse while using God's name. Maybe I'm just a crazy christian that is too blind to no the difference, but I don't think that's it.

I have the strangest feeling our forefathers didn't mean that you can't practice religion in the U.S. just that you can't FORCE your religion upon someone. Saying the pledge is not forcing christian ethics upon anyone, it's just asking Americans to have some respect for their country.

Gays can get married, legally, now. All I have to say about this one is, keep them out of court rooms and churches when doing this, because the church is (or at least mine is) against homosexual marriages. Then you have the court rooms which have the american flag right in your face.

If you haven't noticed yet, I'm a christian and I can't stand the fact that we are letting people like this get away with what they are doing. You don't see me going around yelling at people for not praying, so why yell at me FOR praying? I'm not even speaking for crying out loud.

Oh, and then there's schools... This sucks big one's! You don't have to pledge anymore and the principal can't ask you to take time to pray and/or meditate. I remember, in 3rd grade, we would always do morning pledge and then the moment of silence for prayer or meditation. It was harmless. If you don't want to pray, you had time to sit and think. If you wanted to pray and not feel weird you could. Suddenly, out of nowhere we weren't aloud to do those things anymore. Now, to pray you look like a freak and everyone thinks your a loser that doesn't deserve to have friends.

So, what am I? Am I an idiot for even thinking that God is good? Maybe that's why we're having so much trouble in this world now. People won't accept that God isn't a word to bind you into one religion, but a word to symbolize the greatness of our country... if you won't accept it as a holy being. Or perhaps I'm a psychotic homophobe who can't even function in the same world as a homosexual or bisexual (no real dif.).

If you eliminate the source of the hormones, you eliminate the cause of the sinning.

Um, I'm not sure what you are trying to say here... we should remove our thyroid gland, hypothalamus, parathyroid glands, adrenal cortex, ovarian follicle, testes, and other hormone generating organs?

Everybody in here will have a differant opionion. I understand almost everyones point of view. Also there is a reason for people to be gay then there are the few who aren't gay but pretend to be. They don't get the attention that they want so they do that. You can't tell me that you don't look at them or say something because they are with someone of the same gender. But there is nothing you can do. Yeah you can make a law that says that gay people can't get married but is that really going to help the situation. Remember if they are married that means they prob. won't hit on you. Anyways tell me there is a law on crack and drugs like that right but people still figure out a way to do it. Or find it sell it or buy it. So no matter what you do it isn't going to make a change it might affect a couple of people but not the majority. People in America do what they want and don't even think about the laws or if they did a sin. One thing says don't use the Lord's name in vein well people do it and don't even think about it twice. I do agree with capt. cornbread. But there are things you can't do anything about. You can try but there will always be people that are there going against you and unless you can give that judge a good reason to make a certain law there won't be anything that will be done. So pretty much as of right now they have the freedom to do what they want. We can try to fix things the way we want them but it might not work. what i am trying to say do what you believe not everybody will think the same thing. But do what you believe and don't give up on what you believe in keep going for it or do it until you reach what you wanted to or keep trying. Don't let anyone change your mind but yourself if you change your mind ok but you have to change your own mind. Don't let anyone else do it.

Now come on. Do you honestly believe that you HAVE to express yourself verbally in a prayer, and if you don't get a chance to do so right away, God might ignore the bad things that are going on? If you're THAT concerned about something you can always do a quick, internal "hey God please take care of that" at the time and then yes, you can wait until you go to bed to express yourself more formally. Has your church actually taught you that God will ignore you unless you're on your knees with your hands clasped, intoning in Latin? I'm no priest or pastor but I'm familiar enough with the church and the Bible to know that's not how it works (unless possibly you're Catholic). God is supposed to be omnipresent, omnipotent, and omniscient, after all.

I never said that you had to pray out loud. When we used to have pray time at school it was silent. You never prayed out loud. And no my church doesn't teach that God will only answer your prayer if you get on your hands and knees. And to tell you the truth I am Catholic. And I know that the bible doesn't work the way that you putting me out to say that it does. I think maybe you should have payed closer attention to what I said. Then maybe you would have got that I never said anything about verbal praying. I'm not trying to sound rude towards you either. I'm just not in the best of moods right now so i might sound a little crabby.

Can I get an A-men?

Amen!!

Well, Jessica, all I can say is thanks. I guess all I needed was for someone to voice my opinion in a more gentile way.

The 7th Commandment has no basis in our law. It is not illegal to commit adultery.

Actually, that's not universally true. Many New England states (New Hampshire is one) actually do have anti adultery laws on their books.

Yeah, Jess, I think you've made the most sense out of any of us on here.

Wow....this blog has grown.....and frankly I'm getting a bit confused as to why we have veered completely off topic...from gay marriage and the Pledge of Allegiance to which religion is right....to suppressing rights....to commandments.....wow....there's even more than I've listed I'm sure.....oh, well....what can ya do?

She's talking about some people at our school. There is one girl impeticular that acts like she's a bisexual just so she can get attention from other people.

If homosexuality is a choice, these people must be very masochistic. "Hey I think I might just go and get myself discriminated against and beaten up just for the fun of it. That's my choice. Being gay in our society looks like so much fun".

No you see, I don't really think that they actually think that. They just want to be different than others.
